Cooperative Education

Academics & Industry

Cincinnati State was the first two-year college in the U.S. to establish a mandatory co-op program, and one of the first institutions inducted into the Cooperative Education Hall of Honor.

The co-op program at Cincinnati State has been in place for more than 30 years and today boasts relationships with more than 600 employers both in the Greater Cincinnati area and across the country.

Co-op employers have the opportunity to tailor 15-week job assignments that meet their workforce needs while providing a meaningful learning experience to students. Our co-op program is one of the key reasons that students come to Cincinnati State and leads many of them to jobs in their field after they graduate.
