Half Price Wine Selections Every Friday

For guests who wish to enjoy a great bottle of wine, Summit Restaurant makes a selection of its copious wine list available for half price every Friday night. Wine pairings are available with each course for an additional charge.

The Summit is an extension of the Midwest Culinary Institute's vision of education, training, and a passion for the “art” in their culinary and pastry arts degree and certificate programs. This vision provides you with not only an enjoyable restaurant experience, but also provides the perfect venue for your next private or business event.

Meet Our Chef

The Summit operates under the direction of executive chef Sean Kagy. A 1992 graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, he worked in Washington, D.C. and Chicago before coming to Cincinnati to work at the Maisonette under Jean Robert de Cavel. Chef Kagy later served as executive chef at the Cincinnatian Hotel and corporate chef for Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment.

"I realized that I really missed working with students," Kagy said. "I’ve done just about everything I ever wanted to do in the industry over the past 18 years. For me, and my family, it was time to settle in and maybe give back something to the next generation of chefs."

 

 

A Uniquely Educational Culinary Experience

Your entire dining experience will be performed by well-trained students under the expert direction Chef Kagy and the rest of our professional restaurant management team. Most of these students are earning college credit as a part of Midwest Culinary Institute's co-op workplace training program.

Location: Summit Restaurant is located on the second floor in the ATLC building on the Cincinnati State main campus. Free valet parking is provided for all Summit Restaurant guests.
